Main Content: Blacksmith Institute: The 2007 Worst Polluted Places

In September 2007 the Blacksmith Institute published its updated list of the World's Worst Polluted Places, highlighting the "top ten" and the "dirty thirty".   In October 2007, an international consortium of environmental ministers, researchers and non-governmental organizations agreed to the launch the Global Pollution Remediation Fund (GPRF), a planned $400 million fund dedicated to combating toxic pollution in the developing world.  The following materials include the remediation fund announcement, the Blacksmith Institute report, and company responses to the report.
