NGO Roundtable - Held by the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Human Rights and Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises, New York, 10 May 2006

Invitation to an NGO Roundtable

The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Human Rights and Transnational Corporations and Other Business Enterprises, Prof. John Ruggie, will hold a Roundtable with NGOs on May 10, 2006. The event will be held at the offices of Human Rights Watch which has offered its facilities in New York and Washington, D.C. for the discussion. The roundtable is part of the SRSG's ongoing consultations with civil society and will focus on his work plan for the remainder of his mandate.

It will take place on Wednesday. May 10 from 3:00-5:30 p.m. at HRW New York headquarters, 350 Fifth Avenue, 34th Floor, New York, NY 10118-3299 USA and linked by videoconference to HRW's office in Washington, D.C. at 1630 Connecticut Avenue NW, Suite 500, Washington, D.C. 20009

All interested NGOs are welcome to participate. To facilitate the efficient preparation of the meeting, we ask all interested NGOs to please confirm their participation to Gerald Pachoud (gpachoud@unog.ch) by May 6, 2006.
