On 11 April 2016, workers of Seung Yeun Technology Industries (SYTIC) went on strike to demand the reinstatement of 20 workers allegedly dismissed for union activities, and to seek redress for violations of labour laws on issues of wages, overtime, and health and safety. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre sought responses to these issues from Analog Devices, ON Semiconductor, and Texas Instruments – all buyers of SYTIC. The companies have not responded.

On 15 April, the workers were reinstated, putting an end to the 5-day strike.
