War on Want report "Fanning the Flames": company responses

In November 2007, War on Want released a report, "Fanning the Flames: The role of British mining companies in conflict and the violation of human rights". The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited the companies referred to in the report to respond to the concerns raised: the results to date are indicated below.

Company responses / non-responses:

Anglo American indicated that we should link to the response they gave to a previous War on Want report in August 2007 [PDF]

AngloGold Ashanti said they have nothing to add to the responses by Anglo American (see above) and ICMM (see below).

BHP Billiton said they have nothing to add to the ICMM response and advised readers interested in understanding their policies, standards and practices to review their Sustainability Report.
