European Parliament Committee on Legal Affairs publishes draft report on sustainable corporate governance, focusing on non-financial reporting and directors' duties
The European Parliament (EP), under procedure 2020/2137(INI), is currently producing an own-initiative report on Sustainable Corporate Governance, focusing on non-financial reporting and directors' duties. The work is led by the EP's Legal Affairs Committee.
A corresponding draft opinion by the Committee on International Trade notes that "sustainable corporate governance cannot reach its full potential without due diligence legislation." See here for our coverage of the EP's legislative initiative procedure 2020/2129(INL) on corporate due diligence and corporate accountability.
