Mexico: Indigenous community files complaint at OECD Natl. Contact Point against EDF for alleged human rights abuses at wind farm

The community of Unión Hidalgo at the southern state of Oaxaca in Mexico, and the NGO Project for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights filed a complaint with the French National Contact point from OECD against Electricity of France EDF, alleging that EDF and its subsidiary in Mexico, Eolica de Oaxaca, S.A.P.I de C.V., violated to free, prior and informed consent (FPIC), amongst other human rights, with the possible construction of the Gunaa Sicaru wind farm. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited EDF to respond; the response is available below.
