Myanmar: Union leader dismissed after attempts to form a union, settlement reached; incl. co. response

In August 2024, it was reported that after workers at Chu Yang (Myanmar) applied to form a labour union, the factory manager and General Manager verbally abused and threatened to blacklist the workers so they can’t work anywhere. One union leader was fired but after a complaint was filed with the relevant labour department and with the brand Otto Group, negotiations took place and a settlement was reached.

In December 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Otto Group to respond. The response can be found below
