[The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Grupo Argos to respond; response provided by the company]Thank you for…inviting us to respond to the articles about alleged abuses in land restitution processes in the Montes de Maria region, in the departments of Sucre and Bolivar, where Tekia S.A.S….a subsidiary of Cementos Argos S.A.…carries out industrial reforestation projects pursuant to the Company's sustainability policy…ARGOS and TEKIA strongly reject the statements made in the document…of the Toledo Center for Peace…We deplore that the authors did not contact the company to know its stand on the matter, before publishing it… ARGOS do not oppose land restitution processes as it has publicly expressed…ARGOS and TEKIA have no private armed security in their forestry operations in the region of Montes de María…The processes undertaken to acquire land and manage our forestry projects and social responsibility activities are not a threat to human rights…
