Response by Unilever to the IUF Campaign

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has always respected employees’ rights to join or not to join a legally recognised trade union, or any other body representing their collective interests. In order to enable this at Doom Dooma, we are continuing to seek a verification process to determine which union our workers there wish to represent them. This process is taking considerable time as the local environment is very challenging. We are doing all we can to resolve these issues and as an interim measure, in order to complete the delayed pay settlement for our workers, HUL is currently negotiating in good faith with both unions.
