The union LAB (Langile Abertzaleen Bartzordeak) with Basque origin inhibits for 4 out of 19 seats in our worker’s council and is hence represented in all committees of the council, where we inform about matters of employment based on local law. Information on criteria for determining the employment of new staff is also communicated in these bodies, whereas the concrete decision to recruit temporary staff and employment of staff in fixed contracts is taken by the company. Criteria consist of the like such as the duration of temporary contracts, qualification levels, professional experience and performance evaluations from the fields. The plant management in coordination with human resources and the budgets of the operating departments decides upon the number of new hires. In the course of the future planned increase of our workforce we will include talks on an employment agreement with our worker’s council.

The requests of LAB to recruit 50% women and setting up a lottery for the recruitment of jobs does not align with our human personnel policy. The dialogue with the leadership of the trade union LAB at VW Navarra and with the Secretary General of LAB in Navarra with the personnel department has already started and will be continued.
