Rolando Crispín Lopez, a known opponent of the installation of wind farms in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, was killed on July 22 2018, denounced the Assembly of Indigenous people of the Isthmus in defense of land and territory. The group said that he's been defending the territory against the entry of Marena Renovables since 2012.
