UAE: Indian worker 'forced into homelessness' following decline in mental health after facilities management co. denies worker entry into labour camp; incl. co. non-response
In December 2025, The Siasat Daily reported that a facilities management company in Dubai denied an Indian cleaner re-entry into the company after the worker went missing following a decline in mental health. The denial of re-entry allegedly “forced [the worker] into homelessness”, and he now has no access to food, shelter, or medical care.
The employer, World Star Facility Management Services, has also allegedly registered an ‘absconding’ case against the worker and is demanding money to process his deportation.
The worker’s wife is seeking humanitarian support for her husband, highlighting that repatriation, psychiatric help and rehabilitation are urgently needed. She emphasised that her family is unable to bear the cost of the deportation penalties.
In January 2026, the Business & Human Rights Centre invited World Star Facility Management Services. The company did not respond.
