UNICEF and IKEA support schooling for ethnic minority children in Vietnam

The IKEA Social Initiative uses proceeds from the holiday season sale of IKEA soft toys to help finance education projects run by UNICEF and Save the Children...the IKEA Soft Toy Campaign supports 22 projects in 17 countries in Africa, Asia and Europe...Ban Pho Primary School, for example, has benefited from newly constructed separate latrines for girls, along with education on hygiene...These improvements are all part of an effort supported by UNICEF, with funding from the IKEA Social Initiative and other partners, to make education more enjoyable and to keep Viet Nam's ethnic minority children – particularly girls – in school.
