Research organisations and initiatives
The LSE and Grantham Research Institute provides publications on Climate Change governance, legislation and litigation, especially "Climate Change Litigation Snapshot" every year (2020 edition, 2019 edition), research projects, news and commentaries and a Climate change laws database to search and browse climate laws, policies and litigation cases globally.
The Law and Climate Change Toolkit is an online and open database developed by a partnership among the UN Climate Change secretariat, UN Environment, and the Commonwealth Secretariat. The first tool available is the Legislation Explorer, a database allowing to search legal provisions of climate change laws from across the world.
Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW) Climate Litigation Strategies provides an overview of legal strategies to advance climate justice, focusing on legal arguments that can be supported by judgments from around the world.
The Liability Road Map allows users to explore each level (local, national, international, multi-level) to see how they can take action to hold polluting industries liable.
The The Climate Accountability Institute has a project focusing on carbon majors, detailing the emissions traced to the major industrial carbon producers in the oil, natural gas, coal, and cement industries, updated on a regular basis.
Climate science legal defense fund: The Legal Defense Fund provides a range of support to help the climate science community defend against threatened and actual legal proceedings (legal consultations, representation and amicus briefs).
