Remar Mayantao, a member of the Inalsahan Indigenous Peoples Organisation, was shot and killed on 12 July 2016 by security personnel in Sitio Inalsahan, Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao, in the Philippines. Two others members of the Organisation, Rogen Suminao and Senon Nacaytuna, were killed alongside him. Mayantao was allegedly killed by security guards of the Tagbani Security Agency, which was hired by RamCar Inc., a cattle ranching company. Along with other Lumad (indigenous) farmers, Mayantao had set up a makeshift tent on land that they were claiming as the ancestral land of the Higanon tribe in Lupiagan Village, Sumilao, Bukidnon, but which was being occupied by RamCar Inc. Mayantao was reportedly raising his arms in a gesture of surrender when he was shot in the abdomen. The guard then cut his throat.
