Ramon Matute, Jose María Pineda and Ángela Murillo, members of the Movimiento Amplio por la Dignidad y la Justicia, and indigenous members and leaders of the Tolupán people, have been receiving increasing threats and have been excluded by their own community because of their opposition to logging in their ancestral territories. IM-Defenders and the National Network of Human Rights Defenders in Honduras (IM-Defensoras y la Red Nacional de Defensoras de DDHH en Honduras) condemned the situation: they say the Forest Conservation Institute (ICF), the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Protection Mechanism for Human Rights Defenders are ignoring it.
