On 28 October, staff of Ibama and ICMBio were aboard a survey boat which was allegedly set on fire. This was after previous attacks on both organizations' offices. The attacks come as alleged retribution for both organizations' participation in operation "Ouro Fino", which resulted in the confiscation of boats used in an illegal gold extraction business in Rio Madeira.
