3 jailed for 25 years over Bulgaria’s hellish Trakiya hwy crash

Three defendants have been sentenced to jail for a total of 25 years in trial about the tragic bus accident on Bulgaria's Trakiya highway, which took nine lives, more than two years ago. Bus driver...will spend in jail five years...The owner and manager of the Enturtrans company, which operated the bus, Eniz Chengel, and the Enturtrans Transport Unit Head, Nikolay Toshev were sentenced to 10 years each...On June 15 2011, an Enturtrans bus, travelling from the capital Sofia to Burgas overturned and burst into flames on Trakiya highway...killing 9...and injuring 20. The inspection showed the bus had a number of technical failures such as cracks, a damaged brake, and poor wiring, which are deemed to have caused the accident.
