Account Manager GSK at Save the Children

Reporting into the Senior Account Manager for our global partnership with GSK, as Account Manager you will take a lead role in managing and developing one of our largest and most strategic long term corporate partnerships, with GSK. This ground breaking global partnership, worth over £15m, aims to combine our expertise, resources and influence in order to transform child health in some of the world’s poorest countries.

Partnerships are a key fundraising stream for Save the Children. Our Partnerships Team has taken a step change in how we work with the private sector, successfully developing ground breaking partnerships with companies including GSK, Unilever, RB and Prudential plc. A strategic focus on ‘Shared Value’ partnerships is transforming our collaboration with companies and pushing the boundaries across the sector. We work with companies who share our vision to create lasting change for the world’s poorest and most vulnerable children.

As Account Manager you will be responsible for managing and delivering key elements of partnership, including leading on partnership work streams and programmes. You will also work with the wider GSK team in order to deliver to the broader partnership ambitions and take it to the next level.

To be successfully you will have proven experience of managing diverse, mutually beneficial partnerships, ideally with a background in international development. You will also:

  • Be a natural leader and confident people manager with a strategic outlook
  • Have personal gravitas and be able to successfully influence a range of senior stakeholders
  • Be a team player and have excellent communication, organisational and relationship building skills
  • Be able to think laterally, with a commercial outlook
  • Be ambitious and motivated by the opportunity to achieve dramatic change for children through successful delivery of a ground breaking corporate partnership.

This role provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic and sector leading team, managing and creating multi-layered partnerships which deliver mutual benefit and significant change for children. The team works closely with our partners to agree partnership objectives and to understand the key drivers needed to deliver business impact and value.
