To have human rights on the agenda of business and the impact of business on human rights on the agenda of the UN is absolutely vital...I hope...the UN will work to strengthen the voluntary approach of the Global Compact and at the same time work actively to promote global standards on corporate responsibility for human rights that governments can enforce across the board.
