Adopting human rights policy will help MTN

The MTN Group recently revealed it had adopted its first group human rights policy. For a company that operates in several of the world’s most conflicted regions, this policy, signed off by the company’s top leadership, is an important step...While MTN’s new policy is a good first step, to stop there would serve only to further compound its risk. Without telling investors what is going on in the countries where it operates, they are left to wonder how and whether the company is preventing the next major shutdown or invasion of privacy, and the accompanying financial struggles.
