Aegis LLC is original signatory of the first ever global Code of Conduct for the private security sector

[On] 9 November [2010]...the President & CEO of Aegis [Defense]...signed the first ever International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers. “This Code of Conduct is an important milestone for accountability and transparency for our industry. Private security companies play a critical role in high risk, high threat environments and this Code will provide clear, necessary direction for high ethical standards. More is to be done but this is a great first step,” stated [Aegis' CEO]...Aegis LLC has been actively involved in the detailed development and drafting of the Code, working closely with civil society and government agencies to create a robust Code that promotes the protection of Human Rights, sets key standards for ethical behavior, develops accountability and transparency within the industry, and codifies best practice amongst the industries leaders.
