Africa: Beef Up Ties With Chinese Financial Institutions, Africa Told

Zimbabwean and African financial institutions should increase their co-operation with Chinese financial institutions to enhance the continent’s trade and growth, which has lagged behind other continents…[said] Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe chief executive and African Development Bank board member Mr Charles Chikaura…There was was need to urgently enhance Africa’s growth in line with other initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty of the continent such as the UN Millennium Development Goal of reducing the number of poor people…China is now the biggest foreign investor in the Zimbabwe.
