Algeria visit by ILO Director General seen as missed opportunity to call for freedom of association

Following the October 2015 visit by the ILO Director General Guy Ryder to Algeria, EuroMed Rights said that the visit was a missed opportunity to urge respect for freedom of associtation, citing continued arbitrary suspensions and dismissals of members of the National Autonomous Union of Public Administration Staff (SNAPAP) and the General Autonomous Confederation for Algerian Workers (CGATA).
