All Party Parliamentary Group on Sport, Modern Slavery and Human Rights

All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Sport, Human Rights and Modern Slavery launched

A new All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) has been launched on Sport, Human Rights and Modern Slavery.

The first session will look specifically at the rights of workers throughout the lifecycle of a sporting event, including in construction, apparel, food, beverage and short-term labour.

Interested parties can participate by submitting evidence to the APPG. The group will take evidence (written and oral) over the next 24 months from sports administrators, athletes, policy makers, businesses, sports governing bodies, journalists, civil society/NGOs, and anyone else that can make a constructive contribution to the inquiry.

We welcome written evidence throughout the course of this inquiry. Submissions can focus on one particular aspect of the inquiry or seek to address all questions. Further guidelines can be found in the body of the document below.

Please be aware that the first session of the inquiry will be held on 19 June 2018 so submissions are encouraged ahead of the deadline. Submissions that do not meet the criteria outlined in the document below and/or received after the deadline will not be considered by the APPG and will not be published on this website.
