An Integrated Approach to Learning and Assessment for Supply Chain Training Programs

We believe training efforts [to address non-compliance with labour standards & corporate codes of conduct] are underdeveloped, fall far short of the expectations of the brands and retailers who promote them, and may result in a false sense of security or adequacy of company effort...Brands, retailers, and multistakeholder initiatives...[should] consider adopting an integrated learning and assessment strategy that can significantly strengthen current training programs...These long overdue steps in an integrated approach to learning and assessment can be expected to build on current best practices in capacity building and improve the efficiency of company efforts to implement workplace codes of conduct.
