The Modern Slavery Bill was passed by the Australian Parliament's House of Representatives on 17 September 2018. Subsequently, if the Bill is approved by the Senate, more than 3000 businesses and other entities will be required to publish annual statements on actions to address modern slavery in their operations and supply chains on a Government-administered public register.
