Australia: Qantas disallows sick leave to cabin crew saying most contracted COVID-19 while on holidays

Qantas cabin crew who are being stood down due to COVID-19 infection are not allowed to access accrued sick leave entitlements. A case is lodged before the Federal Court as to whether Qantas is responsible for paying sick leave to 25,000 workers. Qantas argues that employees who are stood down are not eligible for sick leave because there is no work for employees to be absent from.
