More that 1,000 workers started walking from Mymensingh to their readymade garment factories reopening Sunday amid a Bangladesh-wide shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak...

… [T]hey will need to walk for 18 to 28 hours … to reach the factories … 112 kilometres away in Dhaka.

The government and the owners’ associations have advised the garment and knitwear factories to continue production with proper protection of the workers from the virus if they have orders to deliver.
