Barrick Gold and DIHR [Danish Institute for Human Rights] Relationship

Barrick Gold and the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR) have signed a two-year agreement to collaborate on developing and promoting human rights tools for businesses and on ensuring the continuous strengthening of Barrick Gold’s human rights approach. The relationship between Barrick Gold and the DIHR will support the expansion of the Human Rights and Business Country Portal, a…website that…will help businesses identify, assess and address human rights risks in specific countries…The relationship will also enable the DIHR to engage with local stakeholders in select Portal countries where Barrick Gold operates…Finally, the DIHR will develop bespoke country risk assessments and advice to Barrick Gold on countries in which it operates or plans to operate.
