Brazil: John Knox, UN Special Rapporteur on human rights & environment, Conectas, ISA & academics speak at seminar about environment and traditional peoples rights

[On 19 May, John Know, the UN Special Rapporteur on environment and human rights, participated and spoke at the seminar “Environment and rights of traditional peoples: impacts of the flexibilization of environmental laws”. It was organized by Conectas Human Rights, ISA (Instituto Socioambiental)and SGA/USP (Secretariat of Environmental Management at the University of Sao Paulo). The other speakers were Caio Borges, from Conectas, Maurício Guetta, from ISA, Cláudia Perrone, from the Law School of the University of Sao Paulo and Patrícia Iglecias, Paulo Almeida and moderator Lia Helena Demange, from  SGA/USP (Superintendência de Gestão Ambiental da USP/Secretariat of Environmental Management at the University of Sao Paulo).It took place in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
