Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights' briefing on the UK Govt's position on the UN business & human rights database listing companies involved in settlement-related activities

Author: Tareq Shrourou, Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights

The UK Government should revise its position of opposing a UN business and human rights database (“UN Database”) which will name companies involved in settlement-related activities that adversely impact Palestinian human rights. It outlines why the UK Government should properly revise its position so as to establish coherence with its existing policy positions on recognising the illegality of settlements and support for the UN Guiding Principles and Business and Human Rights. Our briefing concludes with three suggested actions for the UK Government to carefully consider in regard to the UN Database.
