Bulgarian Danube Shipyard workers rise in protest over delayed pay

The workers from the Rousse Shipyard Jsc based in Bulgaria's...city of Ruse have declared civil disobedience after they haven't received their salaries for three months...[T]he workers rallied in the yard of the plant demanding their pay for October, November, and December 2010...[T]hey made it clear they would not resume work until they get all due salaries...The Rousse Shipyard has been warned by the Labor Inspectorate to pay all overdue salaries by January 14; the company has already been fined BGN 3 000 for its violations with the delayed salaries...The Rousse Shipyard was...privatized by Rousse Shipyard Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH - Germany.
