Cambodia: Court orders confiscation of factory properties; workers still unpaid

"Court seizes factory property", 21 February 2018

Kandal Provincial Court officials and relevant authorities...confiscated property from the Gawon Apparel factory in Kandal province's Takhmao city after the court issued a protection warrant late last year.

Rann Bora, president of the Coalition of Cambodian Apparel Workers' Democratic Union, said...the workers were still demanding their salary for January and February, but the factory owner has not paid them.

...More than 300 workers from the factory sent a letter to the provincial court to cancel the protection warrant and open the entry gate to allow them inside to work, but authorities did not agree and began to enforce the court's warrant.
