CNOOC Uganda offer scholarships to best-performing students in oil-rich region

"Chinese oil firm offers education package to Uganda district"

CNOOC Uganda, an oil and gas company has recognized and presented 90 best performing Hoima students...as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Program...

Ms Wei Chai, the Head of Corporate Affairs, CNOOC Uganda during the awarding ceremony said; “Awarding the students with prize money and certificates is a move to motivate and indirectly improve performance of students in Hoima District in regard to national standings. Hoima district is currently experiencing rapid development which CNOOC Uganda believes that the better the youth are prepared and the education sector transformed, the more the residents shall benefit from the industry.” She added that CNOOC Uganda shall continue awarding the best performers to reaffirm its willingness to be good neighbors with communities in the areas of operation and to achieve a win-win situation with its stakeholders.
