Comment about Andy Hall's verdict from UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, received by Business & Human Rights Resource Centre

We are aware of the civil court order issued by the Prakhanong Court on 26 March against Mr Andy Hall. Legal proceedings are ongoing so we cannot offer further comment at this time.  We have taken a number of actions to support Mr Hall and remain in contact with him.

The UK government supports the right of human rights defenders to carry out their work without fear of harassment or reprisals.  We also support full implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
