Commitments to Fight AIDS in China announced by 26 Companies of the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBC)

In response to Chinese Vice Premier Madame Wu Yi’s call on Chinese and international companies to take action to stem the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic, the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBC) announces definite commitments by 26 companies to tackle HIV/AIDS in their workplaces and the wider community... The multinational and Chinese companies are: Anglo American, APCO Worldwide, Bayer, BD (Becton Dickinson), Beijing Air Catering Co. Ltd, BP, BMH Instruments Co. Ltd, Gobon Guilin Latex, GlaxoSmithKline, Horizon Research Group, Johnson & Johnson, Lafarge, M.A.C Cosmetics [part of Estée Lauder], MSD China [Merck Sharp & Dome (part of Merck)], National Basketball Association (NBA), Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide [part of WPP], PFT Group, Pfizer Inc., Qingdao Double Butterfly, Rio Tinto, Royal Dutch/Shell Group of Companies,, Standard Chartered Bank, STAR, TOTAL Group, and Unilever.
