Examples of our Sustainability and Climate Change services include:

  • Develop and implement sustainability strategy, initiatives, performance measurement, and reporting activities related to corporate responsibility
  • EHS risk management and control, i.e. identify, assess, test and provide management advice related to environmental, health, safety risks
  • Develop and implement EHS strategy, management systems, initiatives and performance measurement
  • Provide clients with an independent third party verification of their non-financial data
  • Establish GHG footprint and assure emission profiles
  • Develop carbon compliance, adaptation and/or carbon market strategy
  • Conclude on environmental liabilities as part of financial audit services

As a member of our team you will:

  • Conduct client engagements in all areas of services offered by Deloitte's Sustainability & Climate Change practice 
  • Execute client delivery and business development research
  • Foster client relationships and play a key role in delivering services to clients
  • Contribute to the development of specific service line offerings
  • Participate in and initiate internal and external business development and thought leadership initiatives
  • Pursue a personal growth plan to stay abreast of professional and industry developments

As a Consultant you will:

  • Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues and developing solutions
  • Author presentations and present findings to clients
  • Manage parts of client engagements
  • Prioritize objectives and contribute to project planning and status reporting

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in environmental or related science, or engineering (ideally complemented with some business work experience)
  • Complementary graduate degree (MBA, MSc, MA) with a focus on environment, sustainability,  EHS issues, or systems and strategy is an asset
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of environmental management issues, experience with environmental site contamination and remediation and due diligence projects is an asset
  • Experience EHS management and regulations is an asset
  • Sound understanding of  sustainability issues across various industry sectors
  • A self-developer who pursues a personal growth plan to stay abreast of professional and industry developments, an active member of one or more associations of sustainability / EHS professionals, is an asset
  • Effective business writing and presentation skills (the ideal candidate can provide samples of writing and presentation abilities) 
  • Bright, critical and strategic thinker and able to solve complex business issues
  • Highly organized with the ability to operate well with minimal supervision and considerable autonomy
  • Willing and able to travel (~ 15-30%) in Canada, the United States and on selected occasion overseas
  • 1-4 years of relevant work experience
