Dehumanising conditions in coffee farms [Kenya]

...many...children are not going to school... Children, mostly from impoverished families, opt to help their parents to eke out a living in coffee plantations. But leading farm management consultants, Tropical Farm Management, denies engagement of child labour in its clients' farms... Mount Kenya Human Rights Watch...says workers in many plantations are exposed to dangerous chemicals since they are denied protective clothing... The list of grievances by the farm workers is long; ranging from unsafe drinking water to being sacked for joining the union. Female workers complain of sexual harassment.
