[DOC] Amnesty International Joins Multi-Stakeholder Initiative on Internet and Human Rights

Amnesty International today (23 January) announced that it would be part of multi-stakeholder discussions with companies including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo!, other NGOs, experts, and socially responsible investment funds, to establish principles for safeguarding human rights on the Internet. The human rights organisation welcomed the initiative but warned that entering the discussions would not stop it from campaigning against companies that collude with governments in human rights abuses.
