On 14 April 2010, the Colombia’s Ministry of Interior and Justice and Muriel Mining Corporation requested the annulment of the decision taken by Colombia’s Constitutional Court Seventh Revision Chamber (Sala Séptima de Revisión) before the Constitutional Court’s Plenary Chamber (Sala Plena) in the Muriel Mining Corporation Case...The Seventh Revision Chamber had ordered, among other things, to suspend all activities of mining exploration and exploitation until proper consultation with all affected indigenous communities was carried out...The Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales has written an Amicus Curiae which clarifies international jurisprudence regarding the rights to consultation and prior informed consent of the communities affected by large scale projects...
