Doojung Vietnam response to article on workers' strike

...In the following week of workers’ strike, five (5) officers of Hanoi Labor Department visited our factory to audit our compliance on Vietnamese Labor Law for 3 days. They concluded our management and treatment to workers has been in compliance with Vietnamese Labor Law except following two minor issues, which we had corrected immediately: 1) Probation period is 6 days according to Vietnamese Labor Law but DJVN used 30 days; 2) Workers who are less than 1 year maternity should not allow overtime work according to Vietnamese Law. For some case, the pertinent workers allowed overtime in case they wanted to do it since DJVN did not know this regulation. Currently, all about 600 workers are working in the better understanding atmosphere and cooperative mode between workers and our management team...
