See all tags

These Operating Procedures of the CORE (“Operating Procedures”) and accompanying guidance notes provide information about the CORE’s complaint, review, and dispute resolution processes... The CORE is committed to accessible, timely, fair, impartial and transparent complaint, review and dispute resolution processes

... Consistent with their role as an ombud, the CORE will strive to fulfill their dispute resolution mandate in a manner that:

  • Attempts to address any imbalance of power that may exist between the participants in a dispute resolution process;
  • Ensures that dispute resolution processes are accessible to all who want to participate;
  • Assists participants to resolve disputes using a problem-solving approach, having regard for the need for access to effective remedies for human rights abuses recognized by the UN Guiding Principles.
