EEOC, Springs company reach $450,000 settlement [USA]

The EEOC [US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission] said Thursday it reached a $450,000 settlement in a lawsuit alleging a company maintained a work environment hostile to Hispanics, Asians and blacks. The company, Professional Transit Management doing business as Springs Transit, also agreed to hold anti-discrimination training programs for employees, the EEOC said..."The egregiousness of the threats and racial and national origin harassment in this case is stunning," EEOC attorney Nancy Weeks of Denver said in a statement...
