Egypt: Ten workers killed & five injured at NCIC chemical plant explosion

Ten workers were killed on March 21 when an ammonia tank full exploded at a fertiliser plant at Ain Sokhna in Egypt's northeastern Suez province, according to Al-Ahram.

Five other workers were reportedly injured by the blast, two of whom are said to be in critical condition. Quoting a local source, fertiliser industry website ICIS said the explosion took place at NCIC’s new phosphates and compound fertiliser complex, which began production earlier this year.
