Ethical Index Raises the Bar for Corporate Inclusion

Some high profile firms such as Goldman Sachs have been excluded from the [FTSE4Good] Index in recent years for not meeting ever-stricter criteria on environmental and human rights policy development. Other firms exluded within the last year include Carlsberg, Rank Group, Anheuser-Busch, Nortel, Skandia, Hutchison Whampoa and Avon Products. But now FTSE wants to further raise the bar for companies to enter or stay on the index.
