Ethiopia: Labour judges start meeting on workplace discrimination
High-level labour judges together with worker and employer representatives from eight African countries Thursday started a three-day meeting in Dares Salaam, Tanzania, under the auspices of the International Labour Office (ILO) to discuss ways of tackling workplace discrimination related to HIV/AIDS or disability…The workshop aims at enhancing the jurisdictions' capacity to deal with complaints…[and] will…review national legislation…and analyse legal cases that dealt with non-recruitment and dismissal of persons with HIV or with disabilities, in Africa.
