Ethiopian Airlines is the major single source of hard currency income to Ethiopia...The government is accused by all human rights groups of gross violation of human rights...and in engaging in large scale oppression of national minorities...It is therefore imperative that anyone with a conscience about having their [money] spent on fuelling that oppressive dictatorship, do not fly with Ethiopian Airlines...The money goes to the Airline, which is 100% government owned, and very little is spent on services for the poor and civil society projects that benefit the nation.
