See all tags

Date & time: 30 November, 15:00 - 16:00 CET

The renewable energy sector has a critical role to play in global efforts to fight climate change. However, governance challenges and a lack of transparency could hamper the industry’s growth.

This Transparency Matters webinar will discuss the common governance challenges between the extractives and renewables sectors and share lessons learned for promoting good governance and transparency. Senior representatives from government, renewable energy companies and civil society will also share concrete examples of policies in countries and companies that are engaged in the renewables sector.

The high-level panel will include:

  • Phil Bloomer, Executive Director, Business and Human Rights Resource Centre
  • Maja de Vibe, Senior Vice President Sustainability, Governance and Compliance, Statkraft
  • Genci Terpo, National Coordinator, EITI Albania
  • Kate Wallace Lockhart, Head of Sustainability, SSE Renewables

Details of additional speakers to follow. The webinar will be held in English with French translation.
