Excellon Resources response 25-11-2013

[Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Excellon Resources to respond to the items above; and the company provided this response]…Regarding the recent ProDESC release you have referenced to us, there has been a series of kidnappings and car thefts that have affected the safety and security of all residents of the local region. We have been concerned for the safety of all of our staff and workers and our local community partners, as we work and live in the area and appreciate the seriousness of the situation. We fully support the government’s ongoing efforts to remedy this situation, which has included an increased police and army presence…The only information we have regarding the particular arrests referenced in the ProDESC release is from the release itself…We are also interested to learn the reason for these arrests and the nature of the charges levied against these persons…
